Pinewood Derby Build Day

We will meet in the driveway at Waruna (Nilesha’s dad) Buwaneka’s house.

Anyone who has a sander or band saw, please bring it with you.

Scouts will be provided pinewood derby kits (a block of wood with wheels and axels), and make their own designs for their cars. Adults will use power tools to do major shape modifications. Scouts would make final smoothing with normal sandpaper.

Scouts will choose their designs, and decorate them. Parents should not be doing most of the work. Let the scouts race the cars they made themselves.

Rank top 3 (top 3 fastest cars in each rank)

Pack top 3 (top 3 from each rank race in the finals for a chance to have the fastest cars in the Pack)
