Pinewood Derby Build day

The Pack is organizing a build day on January 18 1-4 PM at the Buwaneka’s house (Thank you Waruna!). Please be mindful that it’s a neighborhood, and park on the street in a manner that allows people to get out of their driveways and around cars without much hassle. If it’s cold/nasty weather, this will primarily be limited to cutting cars. If the weather is ok, scouts are welcome to sand and decorate their cars there as well. We will be cutting using a bandsaw which really only cuts straight lines. More complex designs can’t be cut with our saws, so if your scout wants something intricate, they should plan on doing a lot of the shaping themselves after we take off large chunks of wood as we can with the saw.
