Bobcat Clinic for New Scouts or Tigers that did not Earn it Last Year
All new scouts are invited to the portico at Johns Creek United Methodist Church on Oct 1 @ 4:30 PM. The portico faces Bell Rd.
The Bobcat Badge is the first badge a Cub Scout earns when they join, with the exception of Lions (Kindergarten). The Bobcat Badge can be completed in one meeting and is designed to introduce Cub Scouts to the values of Scouting and for them to complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parents’ Guide with a parent or legal guardian. Lions are welcome to earn the rank badge, but there’s no spot on the Lion T-shirt to place the badge. Lions to not need to earn Bobcat in order to complete the Lion Rank while it is required for other ranks.
We will cover the: 1) Scout Oath 2) Scout Law 3) Scout Motto 4) Scout Handshake, and tell what it means 5) Scout Sign 6) Scout Salute, and tell what it means Parents must complete the How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide at home before the Bobcat rank can be earned. Please email Steve Ferguson when that is complete. https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/100-014_WEB.pdf
