- Changes to Advancement/Scoutbook
- There’s new Advancement – Requirements can be found here: https://www.boyscouttrail.com/24cub-scouts/wolf-scouts.php
- There’s new Scoutbook (in particular for entering advancement) which is a bit of a mess. All new requirements are in scoutbook.
- Pack will purchase 1 copy of den handbook for all leaders. There’s no longer a leader guide. Just follow the handbook.
- Some of the Pack meetings/activities will help scouts complete adventures
- Big volunteer needs
- People to help with popcorn – committee, pickup (on August 23/24)
- Blue and Gold Team
- Advancement Chair
- Rocket Day
- Camping
- Stuff to purchase
- Neckerchiefs for all scouts
- T-shirts? New or repeat design? Carly
- Supply of adventure awards- hopefully we have someone in charge of advancement to handle this.
- Popcorn Incentive
- Last year, we offered free dues ($240) for scouts that sold $750 in popcorn, then 10% of additional sales provided scout credit to pay for a scouts activities. Now, families will be expected to pay BSA dues themselves (approximately $90 per scout).
- Propose we keep the same incentive, but we cannot reimburse families for dues. It means scouts would get their Pack dues paid get the extra to cover expenses the scout may incur during the year.
- Alternate proposal?
