DESCRIPTION:\nLocation:  4511 Jones Bridge Cir NW, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092\n\n\n\nEvent Details: Pack 2143 will be organizing monthly hikes for those that want to explore local trails. This activity is optional for any family that wants to attend. Parents should hike with their children.\nOctober 17 will be Simpsonwood Loop Trail. which is 2.1 miles in length with an elevation change of 121 feet\nThe entrance to the Park can be found at 4511 Jones Bridge Cir NW, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. Please turn into the park, then park in the gravel area on the left.\nPlease contact Steve Ferguson – ferguson.steven.c@gmail.com ( mailto:ferguson.steven.c@gmail.com ) – 615-525-7786 if you plan to attend.\nWe will start gathering at 3 PM. We will talk about the Outdoor Code, Leave no Trace principles, and ask scouts to talk about the 6 essentials for outdoor activities. Once that is done, we will start walking.\nPlease bring:\n-Class B Pack T-shirts – if new scouts don’t have one yet, let Steve Ferguson know and he will bring T-shirts for scouts that attend.\n-Full water bottle\n-comfortable hiking/walking shoes\n-Help your scout pack a backpack with the 6 Essentials for Outdoor Activities.\n– First-aid kit: adhesive bandages, moleskin, gauze, antibiotic ointment, etc.\n– Water bottle: filled and large enough to last until it can be filled again\n– Flashlight: for emergency use only\n– Snack/Trail food\n– Sun/weather protection: sunscreen of SPF 30 or greater and a hat and jacket if it’s cold\n– Whistle: also for emergency use only\nWe will cover numerous rank requirements across all ranks, please see the attached list for the full list.\n\n\n
